Ok so it is Saturday night am I am writing to you. I am
saving myself for a really good night out. Today was a tough day. With some
help, it was discovered that I had screwed up my payroll. Yes I use a MAC, and
yes I tried to us Quickbooks for Mac with an accessory program to cover payroll
because Intuit doesnÕt like Mac people ( pc users get
it for free), and yes I forgot to delete a few paychecks from the payroll program, not the SEPARATE
accounting program. It was suggested AGAIN that I just break down and start
using a PC. This may be hard, but maybe I can get some help when I have a
question. And you thought farmers were outside all the time. Not this one. I
actually cried when I realized what I had done. Yes, I had printed and sent all
the W-2 forms- incorrectly AND the W-3 forms with W-2 forms to EVERYONE
INCORRECTLY. So guess what I am doing this week.
OK that
was my whining for the year, but frankly I think I can. I have also followed
the whining rules as well
Rule # 1 for whining-Must be Over 21-(just barely)
Rule # 2 for whining- Given birth.
If you think these might not be the rules just ask Claire
or Nicole.
Seeds are being delivered everyday. And the greenhouses
are here! We are getting ready to put them up as soon as the ground is not
frozen or swampy so Brian the land grading man can work. He is to grading and
leveling a Picasso. All with a big machine and a loader bucket.
The end wall is being replaced, after 20 years of service,
on t the first greenhouse. The springhouse is finished and weÕll be putting the composting toilet in soon. We are really knocking
off a winter items on the Ôhoney-do Ô list.
The 12 weeder geese and 12 guinea hens will be ordered
this week. We might even get a
peacock or two if Andrew and David, (my current young men) can catch them. A
fellow neighbor said I could have some if we caught them. That will be David
and AndrewÕs job.
