We always find that eating with the seasons is an exciting and enriching experience. You will see favorites come and go with the weather and there is always something new and exciting to be looking forward to! You will notice similarities between June and October, but also be able to taste the differences in each crop as it progresses through its growing season. You can learn so much about plants by eating in the seasons. A ripe August tomato or melon might be so juicy and tender that you have to eat it over the sink. Some of the best spinach and kale of the season comes after a fall frost as the plants increase natural sugar content in their cells to protect themselves from freezing temperatures. These little experiences help deepen our passion for what we grow and how we eat!
