The weekly CSA box is the foundation of your relationship with One Straw Farm

We offer weekly produce boxes for pickup from farmers markets and drop-off locations throughout the Baltimore metro area. Our CSA season runs annually from June through November. All weekly boxes are fully customizable to your individual tastes and needs for the week.

Why join a CSA?

By joining the CSA program you are committing to your weekly box for the CSA season, and we are committing to feeding your family with the freshest, most nutritious, and delicious produce possible. This is a two-way relationship - your commitment to the program helps us plan and finance each growing season so we can return to you the bounty of our harvest. By joining you truly become a partner in our farm and have a tangible investment in your local food system. This investment in our farm is why you will often hear us talking about CSA “shares” - you invest in the farm and share in the harvest!

How does it work?

When you register for your CSA share you will be asked to select a box size and a pickup location. If you pick up from a farmers market location you will be invited to select your vegetables from anything we have available at the farmers market each week. If you opt to get your weekly box from a drop-off location you will be invited to customize your box for each week through your online account. You will receive an email each week with the list of what is available from the farm, a ‘suggested’ box for the week, and a link to make any changes or additions that you would like. Regardless of where you pick up your weekly box from we offer flexible scheduling options if you need to miss a weekly pickup.

What will be in my weekly box?

Our availability changes each week as we move through the seasons but we grow a LOT of variety on the farm! Since our primary farming focus is on the CSA program, we focus on having a large variety of options available each week. Take a peak at our What We Grow page for a general idea of what is available through the season.
